UJEP support center for students with specific needs

The workplace of the university support center for students with SP guarantees professional support to applicants and students with specific needs — those who, due to the innate or acquired nature of the health condition, require modification of study conditions, access to study materials, removal of physical obstacles, etc. other special adaptations of university premises for the purpose of successful course and completion of studies.

We offer our services to study applicants and students, also to Erasmus+ students:

  • with visual impairment
  • with hearing impairment
  • with mobility impairment
  • with a specific learning disability
  • with autism spectrum disorder
  • with other difficulties
  • with socioeconomic disadvantage

    It is a great initiative and it is certainly more and more needed today. At the Academy of Social and Median Culture in Toruń, there is also an office supporting people with disabilities. In addition, the lecturers last year adapted their teaching materials to the needs of such people. As a result, the university was among the institutions nominated for the nationwide IDOLA in the category of an institution open to the blind. Such initiatives are very much needed so that people with disabilities are not socially excluded, and have opportunities for development (including study and work). Congratulations on your initiative and best regards from Poland! 🙂

Erasmus during the COVID19 emergency: DATA AVAILABLE

Our researchers have gathered different informations, experiences and initiatives in the management of the Erasmus Community during COVID19 emergency. In particular, two of the project’s outputs focused on the aforementioned topics:

  • In the IO1, the researcher interviewed around 100 between incoming/outgoing students and IR/E+ offices staff;
  • The IO5 provides an open-access Blueprint is a practical instrument, easy to read and capable of immediate application.
